Aobida'do' ....My second attempt at making an interesting language. This one is a bit more "Earthy", has a feel of indigeousness. This one uses affixes as it's base and I've limited my alphabet to 14 letters. It has only pure vowels this time;with the exception of "Y"(yuh). Not anything like Nazaen, which has more than enough phonetic "color" covered in vowel sounds and consonants. ------------------------------------------------------------ Here is the Alphabet: ------------------------------------------------------------ B As in "BOY" K As in "KING" D As in "DIRT" G As in "GO" N As in "NICE" P As in "POT" T As in "TOP" X Like the Russian letter "X"(KH)or smetimes "H" ------------------------------------------------------------ A As in "FATHER" E As in "MET" I As in "MEET" O As in "NO!!" U As in "MOON" Y YUH in "YUM" ------------------------------------------------------------ HOW TO PUT THE SENTENCES TOGETHER: ------------------------------------------------------------ 1. The sentence is constructed as: SUBJECT,DIRECT OBJECT,PREDICATE. Let me demonstrate: A. The children will play in the street. "The children" is translated: " xu-y-Ga'k-i' ". "will play" is translated " xot-xo' ". "in" is a "free-floating" preposition. It is " bu ". "the street" is translated " xbe-i' ". Therefore, when we put these elements in their proper places, we get: " xu-y-Ga'k-i' bu xbe-i' xot-xo'." Pronunciation: (Hhoo-yuh-GAHK-EE boo Hhbeh-EE Hhoh- ow-HHOH) So the syntax of this sentence would be: Xu- Y- GAK -I "(Group marker)+(Family marker)+(child)+(THE marker)--- BU (in)--- XBE -I (street)+("The" marker)-- XO- XO ("Future tense" Verb marker)+(Play). As shown in the demonstration, the different parts of speech use affixes, infixes, and suffixes to clarify them. Any time you use a prefix, affix,or suffix; they will be attached to the qualifier word with an hypen "-". The term I call these affixes, is "Marker";as in : Noun Marker, Verb Marker, and Adverb Marker. Here are the Noun Markers: "y-"..."Family" marker(includes Nouns, Names, and Pets) "i'-".."A" marker (indefinate nouns) "-i" .."The" marker (definate nouns) "xu-".."Groupings" marker, for plural and words like: "sheep,cattle,bovine,swine,geese...etc." "E-"..."Possesive" marker, attatched to both Nouns and Pronouns.
